Cloud Application Security from CNAPP to AINAPP

Cloud Application Security from CNAPP to AINAPP

Session
Wednesday, December 04, 2024 15:30—15:50
Location: Sirius

GenAI is transforming the way in which apps are developed. GenAI dramatically accelerates how software is written. According to IBM in five years there will be 1 billion new apps. Many of these will incorporate third party Large Language Models (LLMs) and this poses significant supply chain risks in addition to the ethical challenges. In addition, these will be developed and run in a hybrid multi cloud environment which multiple technologies with inconsistent security tools and capabilities which create major cyber-security challenges.

Current market offerings Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP) focus on the cybersecurity risks in Kubernetes development pipeline. These need to evolve to support the challenges from AI created code, third party LLMs as well as addressing the repeatability and explainability issues from AI. CNAPP needs to become AINAPP.

After attending this presentation, you will be able to:
• Describe the cyber security challenges from AI enabled business transformation
• Explain how the hybrid multi-cloud adds these challenges.
• Explain how AI can assist with addressing these challenges.
• Describe how an AI enabled security fabric can address these problems.
